Korey Horn
Korey "Kingston" Horn
was born to tear up the drums. The son of a career musician,
Kim Horn, toddler Korey was beating up any household item
he could find to pose as a drum kit. Instead of punishment
for destroying the furniture and valuable LPs, Pops thought,
"he's got good rhythm," and bought the lad a kit.
Korey has been on the skins ever
since and is considered one of the best
in the L.A. reggae scene. His super solid and fat pocket
style have made
him a favorite for backing the legends when they're in town,
including the
likes of Prince Buster, Derrick Morgan, Owen Grey, Leroy
Sibbles, Phylis
Dillon, Dave Barker, Roy Ellis (Mr. Symarip) and Rico Rodriguez.
Currently, Korey is the Master of Thunder and Lightning
in the buzz band,
The Aggrolites, who have been getting rave reviews for their
latest
release, "Reggae Hit L.A." They are enjoying regular
airplay in several
key markets, including Los Angeles and San Diego.
So, next time you're in the mood
for that killer beat, the one that can
wake up the ancient soul in side of you, you know the thick
kick with the
pop of the snare and the click of the high-hat, the kind
that hits you in the chest and you feel no pain? Go see
Korey Kingston, he's got the medicine for what
ails you...Good Music!
